Rinda Salmun

Rinda Salmun, a new young and talented designer from Indonesia who has recently nominated as big 5 in designer competition which held in preticious gallery in Austria, Ringstrassen Galerien. Since 2004, Ringstrassen Galerien mode competition become one of role fashion competition in Austria which followed participants from around the world. This competition is an annual event to give talented young designers the opportunity to introduce their creative works to the international community. Rinda succeeded in setting aside 200 other participants from various countries. In 2010 the competition this year, a theme that was taken was "Black and White"; an inspiration from Coco Chanel black and white that can be combined with all sorts of colors, a combination that is an absolute beauty. Operation modes of competition this time in collaboration with the NOT JUST A LABEL, an online fashion house based in London.
Rinda Salmun design created his own taking inspiration from the color of the leather puppet dikelir (screen) with a figure which is also a knight Heroine final collection for his dissertation S2 in the fashion department at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, England, where his education.Considered contemporary yet dynamic design with a selection of special materials and decorated with accessories that give the impression of luxury and elegance. Election theme is to promote Indonesian culture (wayang) to the European market with a combination of traditional Indonesian culture into Western fashion styles, especially the style of British fashion. Rinda's career in fashion began in 2006 as assistant lecturer in the field of figure drawing at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and continued as a freelance stylist in Indonesia. He is now listed as a graduate student majoring in fashion at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, the UK, which will be completed in October this year. In addition to lectures, this time also Rinda internship in public relations division of Giorgio Armani in London and Giles Deacon could assist in organizing the fashion show Autumn / Winter 2010/2011. For the future, Rinda was preparing a second collection, which will be marketed in London and Jakarta.

Daniel Swarovski 20th anniversary

In Daniel Swarovski 20th special anniversary 09 F/W collection which held Seoul’s Villa de Bailey, she had five different colored (white, emerald green, dark red, silver and clear) rings custom made for Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye as a gift. Eun Hye is the only Asian that she ever given, previously she also made one for American Singer Rihanna as a gift. The ring was even named after Yoon Eun Hye herself is called the Swarovski Yoon Eun Hye Ring which has her initial “Y” on them. It’s a big deal because Eun Hye had been picked out of all the actresses in Korea and also Asia.
